Long lines to get up with your tube. When you finally made it up, they only let a few tubes at a time down. They had a good amount of lanes but did not let people down quick enough. Therefore, you waited more. Returning tube and getting new tube was chaotic. Staff was very friendly.

Here is a hint, at 3:30 the Gondola is free to head up. The tickets are not expensive and the tubing was a blast. The staff really enjoys it and the line moves fast

We made a 5 pm reservation the day before we wanted to go tubing. We took the gondola up the next day about 4:15 pm (no waiting and free after 3:30 pm). Once up top, we checked in, paid and received our passes ($45 for 3 rides). Unlimited rides cost $75 but we felt three would be plenty. We rode... More

We were told by the Vail visitors center to ride the Gondola up and enjoy Adventure Ridge and then hike down for a great way to spend the day. So we went to get tickets for the Gondola and they are $34 a piece, then you get to the top and the activities are another $80. The views were great... More

Vail just added a Zipline Canopy Tour to the other activities at Adventure Ridge (Top of Lionshead Gondola). It's officially called the Game Creek Aerial Adventure. It is a long course with 7 lines and you will travel at speeds up to about 60MPH. It starts at a tower above Eagles Nest and you zip into Game Creek Bowl. From... More

This gondola ride was recommended to us by everyone in Vail and once we did it I understood why! My sister-in-law and I took this 12 minute ride to what felt like the top of the world: 10,350 ft to be exact! The views were spectacular! People were up there with there dogs and it made me wish I had... More

It can be hard to keep a 4 1/2 year old boy busy but the EPIC adventures at the top of Gondola One did the trick. He spent several days mastering the agility rope course, zip line, tubing, climbing wall, forest flyer, tubing and his favorite, the bungee trampoline. All Grandpa had to do was watch and give him an... More

Adventure Ridge, atop Vail Mtn, features some fun activities for the kids including a small and large ropes course, zip line, bungee, a fun (but short) alpine slide. But for $89, including the gondola ride, its very pricey. If you swing for it, make sure to start early in the day (9 am) as we have been rained out twice... More
