Safely away from main roads this dog park will allow your pet to roam free of leash ( in Vail many trails tollerate the no leash rule but technically you should use it)

Great parking, convenient washroom facilities, outstanding green space with adjacent freshwater stream. At 10 am we arrived to a park occupied by 2 labradoodles and 1 yellow Lab. Soon thereafter, the Lab lovers arrived and all the colours of the Retriever Nation were represented in this park. Young children and a mother toting her infant arrived and completed Playtime.

PROS: Very close to I-70 exit. Access to river and Bike/hiking trail. Green fields. Wonderful facilities. Off leash. Free. CONS: Very close to I-70. No Fence. Grass berm separates park from busy frontage road. Our thirteen month old sibling dogs are veterans of off leash dog parks. Most of the dogs were larger than Taz (67 lbs) and Nakita (47... More

our puppy, jackson, absolutely loves this place! it is a bit close to the highway but far enough that he can't just run onto it (and he wouldn't). there are little trails branching off the park if you want to go for a scenic stroll. great parking too!

My dog gives this 5 bow wows, and claims the park is Paws for Cause, because he luvs it so. Lots of room to roam, and it can't be beat, Gore reek flows thru it for a quick cool down and/or clean up

The park is beautifully landscaped, has excellent walking paths and even has an area where dogs can wade/swim in the creek. The major problem that dropped this from 5 stars to 2 is the fact that the off leash area abuts a very busy frontage road with just a few feet of tall grass in between. No fence of any... More

All people seem to love having and owning huge dogs in the Vail Valley. Problem is feces waste and owner clean up. I know most of you pick up after your animal (loving pet that is a family member for most of us dog owners) but many careless people seem to think dog do do is fertilizer for the forest.... More

It's great to have off-leash parks for dogs in Vai, and this one is nice and convenient at the West Vail exit of I-70, but be careful if you have a small dog like we do. This park is a favorite of the big dogs. The Bighorn Park in East Vail is much nicer for the little guys.
