First, I want to start off with the facts, Mohawk is a decent small mountain with good staffs and well maintained slopes. However, their management is HORRENDOUS, especially their sales director Trish Morrissey and office manager Heidi (I'm not surprised to find out that I'm not the only one who had issues with Trish after reading some other reviews). Please... More

We wanted a ski destination close to Westchester county, NY and found Mohawk Mountain. Great experience. Perfect ski mountain for beginner to intermediate or those 50+ that want to take it easy! Nice lodge with food service. Only negative is finding a hotel nearby. We will certainly make this our day skiing destination as its so close to home.

First off - Mohawk is more of a big hill than a mountain. The vertical drop is about 600 feet and the trails are for the most part easier than Vermont or New Hampshire resorts. For what they have to work with, Mohawk does a good job providing a satisfying skiing experience. Prices are cheaper than larger resorts, somewhat to... More

Mohawk is our "home mountain". It's about an hour and 20 mins drive and the kids don't complain when they know it's our destination. The ski school is 90 minute lessons and the groups are right-sized for the instructors. The trails are incredibly well groomed - even after a rainy week, warmer-than-freezing week, we arrived to fresh powder (man-made, but... More

Nice place! Old school facility, but good enough for the price Friday fantastic 30 bucks💵, food is expensive 3.19 cup of coffee 🤔 fries and chicken tenders for 25 and change? No changing rooms at all but a lot of storage for your stuffs. Beginners area awesome to learn not crowded at all👍🏻. A lot of children, I still manage... More

I've been skiing here for the last 12 years or more and it has always been my favorite mountain. I learned how to ski here as an adult and would come as often as possible since it was a day trip for me (about 1.45 car ride). Now that I have 2 children, I wanted to make this their ski... More

Mohawh is a VERY SMALL ski area. Their price for a little ft ticket is high for the area when they are fully open. Unfortunately, they continue to lure folks in at the premium price when they have barely any terrain open. I contacted them about this and their response was ...so? If you are desperate to ski the bunny... More

We visited on a beautiful clear fall day to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. We did an approximately three mile loop to the top of the mountain. I would rate this easy with only a few steeper sections that would be easy to navigate for any adventurous soul. Winding trails take you past many points of interest, beautiful... More

This is a great little local ski hill, very family friendly. Perhaps the best feature is that they allow uphill traffic (ski touring or snowshoeing) for free. The other ski areas nearby don't allow it at all. I'm a big fan of skiing uphill, and around here, it can really make getting out on skis worth it: get a great... More

Like it's competition nearby, Mohawk is not the kind of mountain that you'd ski daily. For a quick jaunt up from NYC or its suburbs, Mohawk offers a great spot to zip down its runs without spending hours trapped in a car. I've been going here to get my fix for years, and it has a great homey feel to... More
