The sun was shining, the sky was clear and the views were pleasant. They additionally allowed us to go up the additional 100 steps to the lighting deck - you can see more of the 'transformation' the building has gone through to accommodate 21st century technology.

I visited the Travelers Tower Observation Deck on day with two young children. The view was outstanding. One child got his head stuck in between the cement pillars. The EMT's came. Needlesstosay it was an eventful day and we still tell the story. It's like any tourist site in your own hometown. It's there, you take it for granted and... More

Most of the repairs to this historical building are almost complete. It will be a wonderful art space between the Travelers Tower and the Wadsworth Museum. This will welcome visitors and provide them with a wonderful space to relax and enjoy the art. You must bring the family.

A landmark of Hartford that has been hidden by scaffolding for at least two years for major cleaning and repair. Most of the scaffolding has now been removed and the building looks great. Since it is viewable from all around Hartford, it is wonderful to see it shine.

Reservations must be made now-I found that out when I tried to walk in,but call the day before & they'll escort you up. Look for the hawk's nest there-the family of Redtails keeps our pigeon population down.At one time it was the tallest building in New England.

This is just the best place to see all of Greater Hartford and the CT River. IF they are still allowing folks up for the view - it's worth asking. Plus it's a pretty cool old building.

Pretty cool when seeing it from the air. I've been taking flying lessons (small plane), when flying after sunset you can see the light that is eluminated for miles when flying into HFD Brainard Field. It's not bad seeing it from the top either..

I was stopped at the door and told I had to make an appointment to go up, despite the website saying it was open weekdays to the public during certain hours. I did not have time to spend waiting around to make an appointment so I just left. Would be nice if they let people know this ahead of time... More
