I adore Elizabeth park, for the pond, for the gorgeous gardens and for the mix of people who come to it. The gardens are spectacular. I'm particularly fond of the shade garden though the garden of annuals is magnificent. The green house opening in spring is a delight after the plain winterscape at home. The rose garden in June is... More

Beautiful park! Love the summer concerts! Everyone is happy and relaxed. The children are playing, listening, dancing...as well as the oldies. Bring a snack or dinner and enjoy!

Elizabeth Park has grown into a peaceful place where flower gardens are abundant and the grounds are beautiful to walk through. Wide open spaces with beds of foliage and plant life can be found throughout, along with the magnificence of the Rose Garden. There is a playground for children and many paths for walking or biking and several ball fields.... More

There are beautiful grounds with the rose garden. A great place to run/jog. Great playground for children. Pond House Café is a nice place to have an outdoor lunch. Beautiful view of the Hartford skyline.

This is one of the best parks on CT for peaceful walking, wedding, any kind of activity. Beautiful flowers all year round with a nice restaurant in the middle, you can grill and eat there to on your own, you can run like excercise or do yoga to, take pictures for whatever reasons and is all free entry

A beautiful section of Hartford area and a lovely place to stroll through the rose gardens and arboretum. Kid friendly so bring them along to explore. There is also a restaurant which I hear is great but have not eaten there.

Driving through the area and decided to stop here to kill some time. Unfortunately it was a dreary day in early Oct. Most of the plants had lost their blooms and the gardens were relatively bare. Perhaps a stop here a couple of months ago would have made me appreciate the place a lot more. I liked the layout and... More

This park is a definite stop each time we visit Hartford. This visit gave us an opportunity to enjoy a special collection of dahlias in full bloom. The other gardens were delightful as well.
