Elizabeth Park is the oldest municipal rose garden in the US. In addition there are a variety of trees that are over one hundred years old and were planted by the Pond Family. Come and enjoy the trees, the perennial garden, the ponds, stone bridge and play scape and track on the east lawn of the park. During the summer... More

I've been coming here since a little kid if the gardens are absolutely beautiful especially in the summer when the Roses Are In Bloom. I was just there in October for a long walk and the Roses were still hanging on a bit. But the other Gardens and the whole area was still great to walk. It's just so peaceful... More

They have local talent performing for several wed evenings during the summer. They get a huge turnout and if you are late, parking can become an issue. People bring coolers and blankets and chairs. Food can also be purchased. There are some benches available on the perimeter. Good, save clean fun and very kid friendly

I adore Elizabeth park, for the pond, for the gorgeous gardens and for the mix of people who come to it. The gardens are spectacular. I'm particularly fond of the shade garden though the garden of annuals is magnificent. The green house opening in spring is a delight after the plain winterscape at home. The rose garden in June is... More

Beautiful park! Love the summer concerts! Everyone is happy and relaxed. The children are playing, listening, dancing...as well as the oldies. Bring a snack or dinner and enjoy!

Elizabeth Park has grown into a peaceful place where flower gardens are abundant and the grounds are beautiful to walk through. Wide open spaces with beds of foliage and plant life can be found throughout, along with the magnificence of the Rose Garden. There is a playground for children and many paths for walking or biking and several ball fields.... More

This is one of the best parks on CT for peaceful walking, wedding, any kind of activity. Beautiful flowers all year round with a nice restaurant in the middle, you can grill and eat there to on your own, you can run like excercise or do yoga to, take pictures for whatever reasons and is all free entry
