Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Koteshwar is the last point that common people can visit on tip of western part of India. It is more than 150 km from Bhuj city. Road conditions are bit ok. Some places you will feel rough road. Koteshwar temple is there for devotion. Own vehicle is preferable to visit this place.

Temple of lord Shiva which is many centuries old , according to mythology Ravan worshipped lord Shiva , n was blessed , to stop Ravan becoming immortal , devs lured Ravan to save cow strangled in mud , while trying to save cow from the mud , Ravan dropped shivling on the earth , n within moments he found that 1 ling is transformed into thousands, he couldn't identify the original ling , picked up the one he thought to be original and flew to his destination , temple on the original shivling is today's Koteswarar Mahadev temple , gorgeous tall , standing lone surrounded on 3 sides by sea , this place is about 160 KMS away from Bhuj Kutch , nearest railway station and airport is Bhuj Kutch , from where one can travel by road , Road is excellent , Gujrat S T buses n by private vehicles one can travel , on the way you come across Matana Mad , famous Aashapura temple , and just 4 KMS before Koteswarar one can visit , Narayan sarovar , a sacred reservoir of water on the west coast , Koteswar is an isolated small place , no place to stay or joint to eat, Narayan sarovar which is 4 KMS away has places to stay and Gujarati food is also available. Better plan your journey during day time and get back.

We visited koteshwar on the last day of our trip. The temple itself is beautiful, quiet ,sort of makes one sit there and meditate and pray.
It is wonderfully maintained by the Indian border security forces.
One can admire lovely views of the sea and the Sunset.

Koteshwar temple is beautiful. Not just the temple but the story behind it attracts people to the place. My visit was spectacular. The priest told the mythological importance of the place. Loved it

Amazing Shiva temple!!
You would just feel so positive and lively once you enter the main temple.
There is also a Hinglaj mata temple in the compound.
Don’t forget to walk ahead till the BSF post marking the end of road for India.
