I love going to Wadsworth all times of the year. It's one of my favorite places to go for easy trail running and leisure hikes. It's easy to get to and close to downtown Middletown if ever you want to go for a hike followed by some good food on Main St.

Beautiful scenery and falls and trails are beautiful and pretty challenging. Park also has a beach along with trails leading to two beautiful waterfalls. This is a must. Very highly recommended. Great picnic spot as well.

A wonderful place to hike! Make sure you go after a good rain. No water coming off the falls when we took our hike

Nice little hike. Well maintained. Waterfall is gorgeous. Got a little lost finding the big falls, and took the path less traveled on the way back for fun. Otherwise, really well marked! Blue and orange trails are greAt for all levels of experience.

I went with my four year old today. We hiked the orange trail to the blue trail and saw the "dry" little falls area. Wonderful hike through the woods! Lots of rocks and roots on the blue trail. Then back to orange trail. Some up climbs and down climbs on the blue trail. Orange trail is quite level and wider.... More

Hiking trails for all level. There is a main area by the pond where there are grills and benches to have a cook out with large groups. The waterfall is lovely, the mansion is just stunning and if you are not up for a long hike, you can park close to the falls!

visiting Wadsworth state park evokes childhood memories when my mom and her friend who had 16 children between them would pile us all into two cars(picture children hanging out the window) with two huge hampers of food and spend the day at this park. Us kids would explore every corner of the park swim till we were wrinkled and blue... More

This is truly a gem in the midst of Middletown Ct. The park has lovely paths that wind through the woods, which are once the property of one of Middletown's wealthiest citizens. The Wadsworth Mansion adjoins the park and is a majestic site. The grounds are gorgeous.
