I've only been at Lighthouse Park for 2 weddings and an ALS walk. It's a stunning park nestled in New Haven. The facilities, the carousel, and the beach area are beautiful. There are restrooms and it's a delightful place to be.

Very small area, was tons of grass with very small beach area. Can't go in lighthouse plus it looks dull. 30 $ to get in per car or 25 in State. Nothing is going on here. I walked small beach got pictures then left.

This is a beautiful antique carousel, which receives meticulous upkeep. The building where it is housed is in Lighthouse Park, a New Haven park with an entrance fee for non-residents. There is a small fee to ride the carousel, but its nice, nostalgic experience (or you can just sit on a bench in the building and watch/listen to it operate.... More

Are you kidding me? Compete are outside is parking restricted, so for a picture you have to park there. So for a foto maybe 30 min inside 20 bucks? That's capitalism in perfection

Attended a gathering here the charge was $25 per car!! Once inside there is plenty of shade trees to set your picnic or bbq grill up. There are bathroom facilities and showers -there even a food stand for burgers and hot dogs. The kids will enjoy the splash water sprinkler area but I'm told it's only operational on the weekend.... We wanted to take a picture of the lighthouse but entrance fee to the park was $30.00 per car for an out of state vehicle. We heard the park was nice but wasn't about to pay $30.00 just to take a picture of the lighthouse

Our first stop when arriving in the New England States. Was so excited to see our first lighthouse. Then realized we could ride a carousel too. Figured why not. That was our first mistake! It cost us $30 to get into the park because we had out of state plates. We paid it reluctantly. We saw the lighthouse which had... More

Even though the carousel is only open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, it is still worth it to take a ride and enjoy the scenery! The lighthouse sits with many benches around and the New Haven skyline is the backdrop. It is expensive to enter the park, but there is a splash pad and beach for lounging.

We were here recently for a wedding on the beach. The experience was unusually elegant and yet beach casual. Watching wedding vows while sitting in the sand overlooking the water with a lighthouse as a backdrop gives the wedding ceremony a whole new romantic spin. The reception was held in the carousel house adjacent to the beach complete with a... More
