This is not a huge aquarium but it's very nice and clean and has an IMAX movie theater (Movie comes with the price of admission). We saw every exhibit and the movie and were there for 4 hours. Loved the frogs, jellyfish, turtles, sea horses ... etc. We missed a few exhibits the first time around so we really took... More

It's a small and cute aquarium. Admission tickets come with an IMAX movie ticket too, which is a nice plus. The giant sea turtles, harbor seals, sting ray & shark and jellyfish touch tanks are excellent. There is a need for more bathrooms, water fountains, hand wash stations particularly near the touch tanks (only one that I could see sandwiched... More

What a great place to relax with your kids of all ages. We got to pet the rays in the large pool. How cool! My kids loved the penguins and seals. Lots to see! A definite for the whole family and visitors as well.

Children as well as adults enjoy the exhibits depicting the aquatic life of Long Island Sound. Follow the signs from I-95. There is ample parking in a garage dedicated to the use of visitors.

We have seen tons of aquariums in our travels. Norwalk's Maritime Aquarium, supposedly one of the 5 best in the US, is rather disappointing. The shark basin is great and the sea turtles are wonderful. But that's it. The rest is rather average, with few basins and tanks. Full visit is less than an hour. Hopefully, you can watch a... More

The Maritime Aquarium is amazing. It provides information and interactive displays mainly about Long Island Sound aquatic wild life. They have "touch a fish" where you can touch sting rays and jelly fish. They do rotate some of the exhibits- antarctic penguins, harbor seals, human powered TransAtlantic vessels, and New England light houses. View amazing documentary movies in their IMAX... More
