It’s a lovely park, but they need to install a better parking system. We arrived expecting to pay a fee of around $25, but there was no attendant and no other way to pay. Locals who were leaving when we arrived said since there was no attendant and it was after Labor Day, they thought the season was over. We ended up with an $80 ticket. We don’t mind paying to park, but having no attendant or alternate was to pay for parking and then ticketing is an under- handed way to extort a visitor. It’s such an obvious cheat, the city should be embarrassed.

Great park with a variety of areas that hug the shoreline. Great for strollers, walkers, runners and dog walkers. They also have a few beaches. One that drops into Holly Pond (which is otherwise not accessible to the public).

If you like breathtaking water views, a sandy beach, rocky ledges, a walking/running path, grassy picnic areas, sitting areas and shade trees this park is perfect for you. The area is very family friendly with many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. There are restrooms and water fountains in building by the beach. There is also a concession area there but you will need to check the hours. It was closed when we were there. The parking is $25 per car!!
