This factory shop is off the beaten track but well worth it. Whilst we saw woollen items we had seen elsewhere it does have a number of things we’d seen nowhere else. The drive out there is pretty but not well posted so you’d have...More

I've been a knitter most of my life, but had never set foot in a wool mill before. We got to go into the mill itself and see the process from start to finish - from dyed fleeces being being spun into yarn, wound into...More

We went to see this mill on a rainy morning. My husband is in textiles, so he was very interested and full-on geek as we saw how they make their wool. It was actually pretty interesting. The people were very gracious and informative as they...More

After having been to a few Woollen Mills in our time in Ireland, we really enjoyed Kerry Woollen Mills. There was ample parking and we were greeted by Missy the Dog who was so sweet! Good prices and selection!

We were told that we 'must visit' this mill, by one of the most well known Crios weavers in Ireland while visiting her on Innisheer- that the sheep started at one end and the wool came out the other (or something along those lines). So...More
