We visited Ujung Kulon this past weekend and stayed at Peucang Island one night, did canoeing at Handeuleum Island, visited the mainland one morning and snorkeled near Handeuleum. We were in the area for one night two days with our two sons. We had plenty of opportunity to see a wide variety of fauna, which was the highlight of our... More

Ordered IDR 700.000 open trip package from Jakarta for 3D2N Tour on Ujung Kulon. I must say that I am less than thrilled because it turns out to be Cheap version of Sailing Komodo. We spend more hours and hours on the boat travelling from one location to another location. The view in Ujung Kulon is not as we expected.... More

If you travel on your own, not in a group or arranged tour, I’d suggest you to be prepared for surprises. I traveled to Ujung Kulon National Park with my 2 German friends whom I happened to meet on my way to the Taman Jaya village where visitors often base en route to either the National Park or the surrounding... Ujung Kulon is one of the most famous National Park in Indonesia, Javan Rhinoceros can found in here,so that's the reason why I took this trip. Plus Quite beach to look inward to yourself (yoga) Snorkeling with soft underwater sand (you can stand bare feet), many baby reefs in here Food were served nicely (beside of cabin crew they are... Took a weekend trip to Krakatau and Ujung Kulon national park, leaving Jakarta on Friday after work and returning on Sunday night. Krakatau is a bucket list sight - the mother volcano (they call it "Ibu") is a majestic stump, all that remains of the 1883 eruption. The child of Krakatau ("Anak") rose from the sea in 1927-ish and grows... More

Even if your chances are slim to meet the Java Rhino face to face, you will see at least footprints of these rare creatures after a trip in a narrow canoe on the Cigenter River, which is the most fascinating boat trip I ever experienced. Rhinos are rare and close to extinction, but if you are lucky, you will find... More

Ujung Kulon is known for Java rhino. Do not expect seeing them. There's only few of them and they stay in no-access area. You can still see some other animals like monkeys, birds or flying lizzards. You need to pay for the entrance (more expensive at weekends) and have a guide. It's a nice walk there but not sure if... More

We visited the national park as part of a trip which included krakatau. We didnt see any Rhinos or snakes, but it was still a brilliant experience. There are wild deer, boar, monkeys and cows which all come out to the green area in front of the camp. We were there during rutting season so in the evenings we could... More
