Visited here while in Hartford with family for a concert in need of some greenery. It was a nice walk but nothing amazing.

Good hiking or walking opportunities, beautiful scenery. Nice place to walk a dog. Big loop for walking/hiking, with many add-ins possible to extend walk into CT Blue Trail/ Metacomet overlaps.

Nice place to get out and run. You can (read; many do) sticht together lovely long runs of 18+ Miles. If you like hills, you can hit them. Lots of single track too. Be smart. Run with a partner

A great place for a walk (with or without a dog) or a run. Very beautiful and generally well maintained by MDC. I do appreciate the expanding parking area that had been added but wish they would open the closed areas back up for traffic...More

I've been going there for almost 14 years and the feeling I get when I start walking, running, or biking is the same every time... it is refreshing, calm and I come home with some type of satisfaction.

It is usually open to sunset. But I would recommend checking by going to website for the Connecticut Metropolitan water district. This site gives trail maps and phone number you can call.

I agree..there should be some maps! I stay on the bike marked trail. It took me completely around. I can.t say how long it took because we stopped at the picnic tables by the reservoir and had a picnic lunch.
