If you are a serious aviation buff, plan to spend a day. There is lots to see and read. Nicely presented collection with some unique aircraft. Be sure to check out the used book shelves at the back of the gift shop.

Was surprised that this small museum had some nice aircraft and displays. Nice quick stop to see some airplanes.

Located on the perimeter road that traverses Bradley Airport, the museum is a hidden gem. There are currently three main exhibit halls. One is the "military hangar", the second is the "civilian hangar" and the third is the "58th bomber wing hangar". The respective hangars feature aircraft that are indicative of the respective hangar identification. The 58th hangar features a... More

After a $16.00 prepaid Cab ride from the BDL terminal and still having to Google the address for the cabbie so he could find the place (which was well signed if he'd just followed them. ugh!), I was afraid to get my hopes up too much. But, wow! Was I in for a treat! There's a ton of restored aircraft... More

I have been to the museum a dozen times. I took my 88 year old father in law, a long retired engineer from Hamilton Standard (now UTAS) a UTC subsidiary. I'm never bored.

it took us about 2 hours to go through the museum. If you stop and read every plaque it might take longer! There are aircraft which you can climb a few steps that allow you to look into the cockpits. WWI and II are covered with lots of pictures of those who were crew members and how they lived during... More
