Real fun for adrenaline junkies. Here you can speedboat, which is really fun, you are accompanied by loud music and cold water, but don't worry you get dry suits from them. The second activity we did was to drive around on quads. These quads go up to 90kmh, so it's a lot of fun.
For those who don't like either of these, you can also stay on site and have a beer.

What an awesome time! Ossi, the owner, was great in accomodating my last minute show-up and taking me and my family of 7 (me, my wife, and my 16yo, 13yo, 12yo, 8yo, and 6yo kids) on 3 ATVs + his guide ATV. They are 450cc BRPs which are relatively new and perfect for these types of excursions and very easy to operate, especially for neophytes. You must have a driver's license to drive one of these, but luckily my oldest son just got his AND he had experience with my ATV back in Maine. So, my wife had an ATV, I had one, and my oldest son had one, and the rest of my kids rode shotgun on each of the four ATVs. What an awesome time! Ossie is kind and patient and he even took videos and pictures of all of us on the trip, sending the files to us later. There was even a dead baby Sperm whale which had washed up on the beach a few months ago, but was quite intact and fascinating to check out. Though a baby, it was probably 15 or 20 feet long! Riding through the back trails on the way back was lots of fun, especially fording the full-of-water trails. He gave a great deal and I and my family will certainly be back when we return soon! Today we had a fantastic ATV tour. We were looked after so well from start to finish. Everything was explained so well and we felt safe at all times while having the opportunity to have some great fun. Would highly recommend Black beach tours. An amazing way to see some Icelandic scenery

The hotel recommended this tour and I AM SO GRATEFUL! Truly one of the best experiences ever!!!!!!!!! My bestie and I went to Iceland with our 20 year old sons. This was a highlight in a mind blowing fabulous trip. CAN'T say enough about the experience. I wish we did the two hour quad experience because we didn't want it to end. The owner and our guide were incredible. We came prepared, but they have all the gear you need. I can't wait to go back.

We have done ATV tours around the world and have always enjoyed them so much. Black Beach Tours exceeded all the others. Einar our guide was so gracious and friendly. He constantly checked in to make sure we were having a good time. Our daughter had a great time watching the seals and cave exploring.
A wonderful experience seeing the wild beauty and the countryside. Einar even recommended a place for us to go have lunch and where to see hot springs locally. Definitely a highlight of our trip

We did a 2 hour quad biking tour on the black sand beaches and it was absolutely awesome. We also opted for a pick up from Reykjavík as we didn’t have a car. This was a nice journey where we also got to see more of the beautiful Iceland - thanks again Grétar! Back to the tour though, it was so fun, the black sand beaches were beautiful and you get the chance to drive pretty fast and don’t have to drive in a line behind the guide. Our guide Einar was nice & made us feel at ease. After that we did some off-roading then a little bit of driving on the roads to the cliffs. It was amazing to see the huge waves there. 100% recommend this tour & this company as they were very professional.

Had a great time with those guys doing the ATV/Speedboat Combotour. The gear is perfect and the stuff friendly and helpful. Both ATV and Speedboat are good fun. Highly recommend.

Was in contact with Erla at Black Beach Tours for a few months earlier this summer emailing back and forth asking for a help planning a surprise trip for my friends and coworkers celebrating an end to a great business year. She was so helpful and helped planned a whole day trip. She ordered everything for us, even the bus ride from Reykjavík and back. Went first to the Ljósafossvirkjun power station and then got a pizza from Svarti Sauðurinn at Black beach headquarters. After lunch we headed for a amazing ATV tour with Össi, he drove with us towards the Lava Tunnel and waited for us a whole hour we were inside. Afterwards we drove back to Þorlákshöfn and drove on the beautiful black beach and on some off rode tracks to the way back. It was so fun driving and watching the waves on the beach and all the breathtaking surrounding all around. After the trip we went to the þorlákshöfn swimming pool to cool us down and relax after a great day. Afterwards we went to the restaurant Varmá in Hveragerði and had a wonderful three course menu. Then the bus driver Smári which Erla got for us drove us back to Reykjavík. Want to say thanks to all the staff, Erla and Össi for making this day so memorable and wonderful. And also want to thank Erla for all her planning for us and Smári which was a fantastic and great driver. Thank you all :)

Went on a combo tour with a large group. We rode the ATV bikes for about an hour. We drove them to the Black beach and further around Þorlákshöfn. At the beach we got some freedom to play around and it is definetly the the most fun I've have had in a long time.The boat ride was entertaining and of course a bit wet :) The music on the boat made the ride even better. All of the guides we had were amazing. The nature in Þorlákshöfn is amazing and seeing it on the ATV and the RIB boat was very beautiful. I would recommend you take good closed shoes with you. Everything else you get from them, protective clothes, mittens and a helmet. We went in june and did not need a cap underneath the helmet.
I recommend this activity and will most definetly go again with my family.

It is rare to go out on a beautiful black beach. Still less common is seeing seals frolicking in the surf. Most of us don't get to drive an ATV, let alone at wide open throttle. But on this tour we got to combine all of the above!
Einar was a great guide. He was relaxed, but attentive to safety. We were given warm suits, helmets and gloves. He allowed us to find our own pace and we didn't feel rushed. We started on gravel roads on the outskirts of town to get the feel of the ATV. We stopped at a lava tube and then ascended a small ridge to get a great view of the area. From there we headed to the beach. It was a beautiful and exhilarating ride. I would highly recommend this tour.
