Lots of Variety in Entertainment!
Apr 2021
A group of friends and I recently went here to see a Neil Diamond tribute. The seating is great, you can have a seat up front in rows or in the back they have high top tables. There are drinks and plenty of snacks to choose from. Lots of great shows offered!

Excellent Show / Great Place
Feb 2020
Saw the Britpack show last night with a close to sell out audience. The four man band rocked through the decades of the 60's, 70's and 80's and finished with the audience on its feet and wanting more. The whole band was tight and vocalist Matt Nakoa had an amazing range and stage presence. Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, Elton John and Queen are just some of the covers the band played with a lot of energy and tight lead guitar.
First time at the Milton Theatre and for the most part an excellent experience. Staff and volunteers are super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and vibe is enhanced with the historic, exposed brick wall feel and even from the very back, where we were happy to be you have a great view and close up feel.
Yeah are the bar stools at the high tops slightly uncomfortable and very "rickety"? Sure they are and probably should be replaced, but this organization relies on grants, fundraisers, membership and volunteers so I get it. After all where can you get this quality live music for the price of a $25 ticket?
And does the food need a little more attention to detail? Yes again. Nobody is looking for a culinary experience, but the hot dogs and pretzels need to be close to warm or hot and we overheard someone mentioning luke warm coffee. But in my book those items are minor and didn't really detract from an otherwise excellent night out.
I'm becoming a member and you should too!

Beautiful Historic Theatre
Feb 2020
My husband, friends, & I went to see a live show here recently and loved it. The acoustics were wonderful, & all seats had a great view of the stage. There is snack type food available with everything ordered and brought to you right at your seats. Definitely is not going to be our last visit here.

Simply Streisand returns to the Milton Theater
Dec 2019 • Couples
We've been attending the Milton Theater ever since it's reopening about 4 years ago under the skillful leadership of Fred Munzer. They currently offer over 350 events annually which include live performances by a wide variety of genres, classic films, paranormal readings and a variety of children's classes to promote interest in the arts.

Having met Streisand tribute singer Carla DelVillaggio some 3 years ago during one of her many performances at the Milton, we fell in love with both the theater and her renditions of classic Barbara tunes.

Her most recent holiday show began with classic holiday songs setting the festive atmosphere while reminiscing through Streisand's songbook. The second act included mostly favorites "Somewhere" from the West Side Story and "Imagine" of the Beatles fame accompanied by interesting thought provoking visuals projected on the large screen.

We are blessed to have a community theater which offers such an amazing variety of events for reasonable prices. Even the VIP front rows are only about $30 and include small tables and wait service for refreshments.

If you enjoy live performances or even viewing classic films come support your local theater especially as they continue their $2.5 million capital fund drive to restore this asset to its 1920's original glory including adding the original balcony and a full length marquis with exterior balcony overlooking quaint Milton and the Broadkill Creek.

A while back I wrote a review and my final comment on that review was the theater is destined for greatness. That was evident yesterday with their production of Next to Normal. It was flawlessly directed, sung and acted. I found myself drawn into the proceedings with awe and astonishement. I witnessed quality of performances that I have never seen in this area in the 13 years I have been here.

I have been to the Milton Theatre twice in the last two months. What a great venue!! You can see great from any seat and you can sit comfortably and not feel squished or that your knees are under your chin.

They offer such a variety of shows, I will definitely be a frequent customer.

We go to all types of events here and rarely do they disappoint. Music, Comedy, all the shows were great. Average prices for drinks and snacks but more of a variety these days.

Great Local Venue
Jan 2019 • Couples
We attended the showing of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Documentary last week and were very pleasantly surprised by the small local community theatre in Milton. We loved the music and songs by Danielle Furst as guests arrived for the movie. It was an interesting showing of short films by local filmmakers followed by a brief introduction and Q&A before the main show. The movie about the iconic "Notorious RBG" was extremely interesting and informative. The theatre itself was intimate and comfortable, had plenty of parking, was reasonably priced (tickets & concessions) and has a wide variety of shows throughout the year. We would highly recommend giving it a try!!

Not funny
Oct 2018 • Friends
Went to a comedy show with some friends. Shortly after intermission, a guy comes over to our high top to tell us we were too loud and they had received complaints. Shame. I had friends in other section and she never heard us at all. I think we weren’t the right type of clientele for their establishment. I wish them nothing but the best.
We won’t be returning. Drinks were awful too. Simply trying to patronize local establishment.

Hello, I was the manager who approached your group that night. I approached the group once and politely asked to tone down the discussion within the group as we have received 7 complaints from people at the back row (which is standard procedure in any venue) but the group decided to leave instead. I spoke with a lady from the group saying that there was an issue with some audience members from another table that has since left, the lady also mentioned that their other friends were in front of the stage which is the reason why they would not have heard your group as they are right next to the speakers (again it was the last 4 rows of the main reserve area where we received complaints). We actually tried to remedy the "noise" by bumping up the volume of the comedians initialy, but we had to approach your group after several more complained. This was during our "Milton Residents Night" where locals came in to see the show for free, we are extremely grateful for the local community's support which is the reason why we come up with events like this to extend our appreciation.

Small piece of town history
Oct 2018 • Solo
The Milton Theater is an historic building located in the heart of the town. The building was first built in 1910 and since then has served the community in various functions including basketball court and movie house. In 1999 a non profit group bouth the property and developed into a performing arts place for 10 years. Currently the Milton Theatre organization operate the theater as community entertainment (in performing arts) from local and regional groups and companies. (Note, I did not see any of the perfromance here just walk around to see the building and the town.
