Great biking trail or walking. Partial shade, level and great birding in a long section. This is a fun way to travel from Rehoboth to Lewes (the back way), continue on to the ferry and then into Henlopen State Park. You can loupe thru Henlopen going south, continuing on around Gordon Pond and coming out in Rehoboth. A great activity.... More

On nice days, I typically ride the Gordons Pond Trail from Rehoboth to Lewes, and then take the Junction and Breakwater Trail back. It's an excellent loop that takes you through salt marshes, forest, farm lands, beach, historic downtown Lewes, and (a bit) of suburban sprawl. The Junction and Breakwater Trail itself is pretty wide in most places. Some portions... More

If you're visiting the Lewes state park make sure you bring your bike. This trail goes all the way from Lewes to Rehoboth and takes you from the Beach, through marshlands and into Rehoboth where you can have a great craft beer at Revelation Brewery which is at the end of the trail before turning back. The views are amazing... More

I am an avid biker and enjoy riding the Junction and Breakwater Trail, especially when combined with the trails in Cape Henlopen State Park and the Gordon's Pond Trail. All in all from beginning to end the combined trail is approximately 18 miles long. The Junction and Breakwater Trail and the Gordon's Pond Trail is crushed stone covered with stone... More

Went for the16 mile ride, ended up being 26 miles due to some poor signage, but still worth it, lovely scenery, and wide bike trails most of the way!

Great for kids or novice riders, this trail is flat and relatively straight, with a portion through a housing development, but other sections very natural. We saw two deer along the way! Our kids are 10 and 13 and did the ride with ease.

We got on at Hebron Rd and rode the entire trail through Cape Henlopen SP, Gordons Pond back into Rehoboth at the boardwalk. Beautiful shaded trails; salt marsh; Osprey; and various other interesting views.

They really have upgraded this trail alot over the last couple years. No more ridding on King's Highway (except for the bridge over the canal).

My wife & I have walked, run and biked this trail often. Its canopy of trees keep it cool in the blazing summer sun. It's a great trail that's close to the house and never crowded.
