Great for walking, biking, and bird watching!

A terrific place for birdwatching! Eagles, osprey, herons, egrets, shore birds, migratory birds, etc. Also a great path for biking. Flat trail that is very scenic.

Lots of wildlife. Beautiful scenery. It's very close to town so you can bike there and bike the paths in the park.

Gordon Pond is he southernmost section of Cape henlopen State Park, adjacent to the city of Rehoboth Beach. Ample parking for both the ocean beach, and the excellent hiking/biking trail skirting the west of the pond. The small-gravel trail is easy to bike, and boardwalk sections lead over marshy areas. Wildlife everywhere, herons, osprey, even a Diamondback Terrapin! The trail... More

We enjoyed a quick 5-6 mile walk with out puppy in some perfect weather. No bald eagle sightings today but plenty of other birds around. Not too crowded and people are very friends. Nice free day activity with the family.

This is a great place to go in the summer when you want to be outdoors but want to get away from the crowded beach!

This pond is located on a hiking, biking, and walking trail between Rehoboth Beach and Lewes, DE. The entire trail at present is 17 miles long, with extensions to be added. This part is the prettiest of the entire trail. Best to walk or bike during the week as it is crowded on weekends. Also, look out for bicycylists who... More

A nice walk to and around Gordons Pond with some nice views and water birds. Not the best time of year to see wildlife but a nice change of pace from city, town, or suburb. There's nothing like a walk in the woods to clear your mind and change your perspective. You drive down Henlopen into the State Park where... More

We love this walk and usually walk from the Rehoboth side to the Lewis side and back again, then go right out on the beach at the Rehoboth side. Also see a variety of birds, especially the blue herons, love that you van see the expansive pond on one side and the grass-filled waterway on the other side. Once you... More

Excellent trails for biking and walking. Easy to maneuver with a stroller. Lot of waterfowl to see. You might even see a bald eagle.

Gordon's Pond is part of Cape Henlopen State Park. This part of the beach is less crowded and quiter. The only con is that there are only pota-potties.
