Enjoyed watching the boats come into and out of the harbor. Ten dollar fee seemed excessive, but toilets were clean and it was well maintained. one hint...when you buy a pass for that park....it is good for ANY park that day. Not something they tell...More

Campground was clean and modern but just not what we were expecting from a state park We have stayed at quite a few other state parks in various areas and we are used to more space and more trees You are almost under the highway...More

Besides the beach, it has adequate (super) life guards during the day. The bathhouse is newer, roomy and clean. If you want the beach and want to get away from the crowds, pay the entrance fee and check it out! I've seen surf fishing early...More

Best beaches on the east coast!! Super clean bathrooms and plenty of parking. WWII towers add a fun background. Even has a marina with a super fun water side restaurant with delicious crab cakes and orange crushes.

Part of why we love this is because it is less congested than the boardwalk sections of beachfront. I hesitate to say just how wonderful this is because I would hate to lose this option. If everyone starts coming here...it might become more congested, too....More

I've been here dozens if not a hundred times. It is my go to beach in this area. It beats paying for parking in Bethany or Rehoboth, albeit without the town amenities. But, I go here for the time in the ocean only. I get...More

If the weather is decent, the beach is great for walking and enjoying the clear ocean views. You won't get this opportunity in season. There are some pull off and parking areas along the east side of the coastal highway.

If you are in the resort towns, there is metered parking but the State Park has a payment stand at each entrance. You can buy an Annual Pass at most State of Delaware park entrances. I hope that helps.

Don't go there. It is what you describe that you do not want. It is a big parking lot near a major and noisy bridge. Lots of traffic. The campers do look like they have been there for years. There are several campgrounds... More
