On the edge of Wilmington, this is a great park with open spaces, picnic pavilions, a great playground, and facilities. We had a group activity and there was plenty of space in the open fields.

once again tough to find the parking for the trail but once you get on it a great place to take a walk. I walk during my lunch hour and find it refreshing.

People travel to New England or to other locales to see fall color; honestly, I stay home and travel to Alapocas Woods/Brandywine Park. On this recent trip, I did more of a jog on the Greenway Trail. This trail is the "main drag" so to...More

We enjoyed the hike. Scenery was pretty down below where the old mill and stream are. There are big rocks you can sit on and a small water falls by the mill. Just wear boots. We had flip flops and a snake quickly went by...More

Wilmington has fairly heavy traffic, so finding a good place to ride without dodging cars can be a challenge. The bike trails that start at Alapocas are a good choice. The are all macadam, so a mountain bike is not required. They also connect with...More

We visited here with my two year old grandson. This is a terrific park. The playground is full of safe equipment that can keep kids busy for hours. There is a walking, jogging and biking path, a golf course, ball fields, etc..
