Great for a daily hike

The trails are well-traveled and easy to hike. Not a real adventurous destination but good for daily hiking

We visited Carousel Park today for the first time and greatly enjoyed it. It's fun for kids and a beautiful walk for adults. There is an old-fashioned town square area out front, lots of animals to see, pretty walking trails, and a cool climbing playground further back which our son loved. Even though this is a county park, it reminds... More

I decided to take the kids to the Santa and his pony event at Carousel Park. It was from 11-3pm on a Saturday Dec 12, 2015. The even was supposed to include free snacks, free drinks, free crafts, free hayrides and the opportunity to see Santa & his pony. We got there around 10:45am and the place was already starting... I received an email from the NCC with various activities happening at the parts. Carousel Park was one of several parks hosting a weekend family camping "Sleep under the Stars" program. I had never imagined it would be so popular! I would recommend registering with time if you intend to camp. You could also visit during the day which was... More

I have been coming here since I was little and never get tired of it. Used to take riding lessons here as well. Great walking trails, lots animals to see in the barn and while exploring, several ponds, and beautiful fall foliage.

We stopped in to check out the mounted horses of the Delaware police. Stables were nice. There was a few other farm animals to see as well. ( blue hens, goats, sheep). There was also an Italian ice stand.

Carousel Park is a county park that offers a lot of free things to do for children. There are a couple of stables of horses housing the New Castle County police's horses and other privately owned horses. You can get close to them and interact with them when their in the stable. They also have various other animals to see... More

The trails at Carousel Park wind through woods and open pastures. This is a great place to take a relaxing stroll through a well-kept County jewel.

My 4 year old has been taking lessons for the last 6 or so weeks. The lessons are fine, her current trainer is excellent. But the communication and paperwork part of it has been beyond painful. When I first wanted to sign her up, it took 3 voicemails with no return calls; 2 emails; and finally an in person visit... More

We went here the other day for the 1st time. All these years of driving by it, I always assumed it was just an Equestrian center for those who paid to ride horses or use the stables. I never realized that this was a 217 acre New Castle County park open to the public. This park is so charming. They... More
