Putu has a lot of humour and his English is really great so that he can explain so much about plants, fruit, growing rice and hindou religion. With a friend, and my wife and I, we enjyed the Mayong Culture Walk tour with mr. Putu Artana who specializes in small scale eco tourism in the Mayong (Buleleng) area. He is a great guide who generously shares his indigenous wisdom and knowledge on cultural, natural and spiritual topics during a walk in this rural landscape. We learned a lot more about indigenous medicine, Subak, food, agriculture and so much more. After the tour the Family cooked delicious luch in the small dining pavllion, adjacent toy e house of mr. Putu, his wife Ria with great valley view was a most appreciated completion of a special morning. We will be back with more of our own guetst and recommend the tour highly.…

Dear Ria and Artana, we fully enjoyed today's Mayong trekking tour. You have shown us the beauty of the Balinese rice fields and farming community, as well as giving us the possibility to discover the beauty of the Balinese landscape. We fully enjoyed the way you respectfully and proudly talked about all there was to see and we will certainly not forget your story about the "ring of fire". We also won't forget the delicious lunch Ria made us back in your home. We highly recommend your tour to anyone who wants to know a piece of the real Balinese way of living. Dear Ria and Putu Artana, thank you very much and hopefully we will meet again some day. Best regards, Paul & Maureen…
