Sugar Sand Park features the Community Center, which houses the Children's Science Explorium and the Willow Theatre; and the Field House, which features an indoor gymnasium.

Developed by the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District and operated by the City of Boca Raton, this 132-acre park continues its commitment to enhance the role of recreation and culture for residents and visitors alike.

Sugar Sand Park is open 365 days a year - the Community Center and Children's Science Explorium are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

Built to American Society for Testing & Materials standards, the Science Playground is strong and safe, with a soft, impact-attenuating ground surface. This surface is also the key to the wayfinding feature, allowing parents and children to pinpoint their exact location within the playground through identifying markings.

The inclusive playground features new swings, slides, and an expanded climbing structure that allows for greater access to people of all ages and abilities, and greater visibility for parents and children alike. The updated interactive water feature showcases a variety of sea creatures, and a new train station-themed toddler play area has been added.

Better than any I've taken kids to. A terrific climbing adventure, splash ground, carousel and more. Also in the park is a small Science Museum that most kids love to play in. A great place to take kids for a couple of hours of entertainment, and it's free (except for the carousel).

A great place for younger kids. Lots of space to run around and climb on. The water feature is great in warm weather. My 21 month old grandson had lots of fun.

The grandchildren enjoyed this park immensely. Their visit for the Easter holiday was a perfect time to explore, especially the Science Explorium. It was one of the highlights of their trip from North Carolina.

This place is great for families with children if all ages. The playground is huge and safe. Seems very clean, it's brand new. The carousel is beautiful but beware that every child under 42" needs a dedicated adult to ride with them. We found out the hard way with out three kids under 42".

This is a great park with lots to do. The climbing maze with slides is fantastic. Science components have added a fun way to incorporate science. On a hot day, kids love the misting area. You can even take a ride on a carousel and visit the science center. This is one of my grandchildren's favorite parks.

a great place to have the kids run and explore while you sit and watch from a distance or be a kid yourself and explore as well.

We took our 4 year old last weekend after the playground reopened. I was expecting it to be fun, but we were blown away with the park! Our daughter loved the carousel ride for one and for $1 it was worth it to see her so happy. The new science playground is unbelievable. It is huge for one and has... More

Alright. We were looking for an activity for the morning for our toddler. So decided to stop by here. This is not a park. This is basically a free amusement park. The playground is one of the largest I've ever seen. Easily enough to entertain for a few hours. On top of that there is a FREE merry-go-round on the... More

This place is like a habitual for kids with water blasters. It's easy to watch your little ones as they frolic and there's plenty of shade and lots of seating for grandma. When you're done running around, there's a lovely little hands-on science museum to explore and a carousel for the littlest ones.
