Barefoot Beach is tricky to find, but well worth it. Located well beyond the guard gate at Barefoot Beach subdivision, you will drive down a brick paved road past numerous multi-million dollar houses on Barefoot Beach. Barefoot Beach preserve is located at the end of...More

Not crowded, Interesting to wade across a shallow inlet to the main beach. Lots of birdlife around and far less crowded than I had expected. Bring a camera, the shorebirds are used to people and walk right up to you.

Barefoot beach is beautiful! We enjoy the uncrowded sand, birds, and long, undeveloped coast. Watch for turtles, they nest all over.

You must drive thru an area of VERY expensive homes/condos to get to Ranger Station and beach. Fee is $8.00. Loved seeing the all red brick road all the way to beach. We prefer a beach with some shade so we did not stay, but...More

We have beautiful Miami Beach near our home but always travel here when we want to enjoy the beach for the 4th of July. It's a great environment for families and is always beautiful....always an enjoyable time.

I believe cash only for the parking fee. If you are a resident of Collier County and have a beach parking permit, entrance is free.

Sorry for the delay. Not checking emails over holiday weekend. You could ride a bike, but just be aware that the paths are not paved, they are a firm sand base which may present some challenges in a few spots.
