I only had an hour or so to visit when in town for a business meeting. What a gem of a beach! I saw a gopher tortoise on my way in and really enjoyed watching the shore birds. There are lots of shells and beautiful white sand. The beach was clean and in late afternoon was not crowded.

We love walking on this beach especially at low tide. Shelling is great. We saw dolphins playing and the birds were just beautiful to see. This was our second trip here and we never get tired of the walk. There is a long trail path to take or walking on the beach.

Spent the afternoon on the beach and it was great! Great sand, beautiful views, calm water. The only downside was little orangey brown bugs flying all around. They don't bit but definitely make the experience less enjoyable. That said, we would come again.

We stopped by this beach before dinner to watch the sunset. Really nice beach, not overly crowded. Great place to watch the sunset. Can walk on the beach for a long, long ways if U want.

Great beach, good facilities, lots of parking! What's not to like? This is a great place for gathering seashells, or to bring kids and build sand castles.

Lovely trail for mild hiking. Beach was spectacular with pretty calm surf. Get there early as this place fills up.

Not nearly as crowded as most public beaches in southwest florida. Views are fantastic and plenty of room to explore. Nice and flat walking trails too. Don't let fancy neighborhood scare you off. It is gem. Lots of shells and good nature programs if you are there on the right days, check of "friends of barefoot beach" website.

If your on vacation to get away from it all do yourself a favour and go here rather than Fort Myers beach.

We had a great day at barefoot beach. It was a little busy but we did not have a problem finding a parking spot. They did a great job with the walkways and restroom facilities. Walking the beach can be a little hard on the feet as there are lots of shells.
