My Husband and I visit this area frequently and decided to make the climb, finally. It didn't disappoint. The views were beautiful. The space can get rather small. I agree, as stated by previous viewer- not for small children, but my 8 year old loved...More

This is one of the more interesting lighthouses I have visited. The exterior design is different than many but the view is worth the climb to the top. After the climb, I took a nice but short walk along the beach across the street -...More

I have a fear of heights so to get me to the top took time, but what a stunning view. I came down slow so was happy we didn't have others climbing at the time.

Not on the coast but just on the other side. 138 steps to the top so you can see the Gulf of MX. All steel lighthouse, black top with Red and White base build in 1895. Little gift shop and restrooms next door. It's 103ft...More

This was a huge disappointment. Everything is overgrown, and appears near abandoned. The playground was sad and virtually non-existent. There is no pirate ship as someone has shared photos of. We didn't even get out of the car.

Museum is small, the lady working was not at all friendly. $5 per person to walk up the top of the lighthouse.

Climbed to the top and the view was excellent. Very clean and relatively easy stairs to climb. The hostess was knowledgable and very friendly.

neat place with a typical gulf coast story. Grounds are sparse but the lighthouse is worth the visit.
