Shame about the lack of water

Nice park and a good place to break a journey, but I'm sure we'd have enjoyed it even more if there had been water to fall. Worth a visit nonetheless.

I don't fault the park, but the epic local drought has done in the falls. The park is a simple affair, but has picturesque walking trails, well kept picnic facilities and restrooms. The sinkhole paths stimulate the imagination. We noticed that the kids play area is impeccably maintained and the park in general has that Florida park pride. It's a... More

This is a good spot, close enough to the highway and shopping yet off the beaten path. the sites are mostly gravel, and mostly level. The bathrooms and showers were modern and well cared for. The hike to the waterfall was not strenuous, but the water was not falling because of lack of rain.

My gf and I camped at campsite 17 which was a cool camp. The waterfall wasn't falling due to no recent rain, but it was still very cool to look at. Make sure to read all the post around the park. Very informational. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Also we went to the Marianna Caverns which is only about a 30... More

Unfortunately, it was dry, so no waterfall. I enjoyed the trails though. Hopefully, next year, I'll be able to see the waterfall.

Went through Chipley while evacuating hurricane Mathew. We stopped by and hiked up to where the falls are and the sinkholes. The falls were dry (dry in that part of Florida now) but want to go back when the falls are active...great place to take your kids, or to go for picnic, or hiking.

We had a very peaceful stay here. The sites are nice, they have some paved ones and some gravel. All sites have a fire ring with cooking grill attached, picnic tables, and our table had handicap access. Looks like most of the paved sites tables have handicap tables. The trails are nice we toke our two dogs on all hikes... More

(Warning: Young Tampa Bay adults in for the weekend) We came here for the purpose of witnessing the sink holes and waterfall—nothing else yet once we entered the park it seemed as if the mere appearance of the trees transported us away from any natural Florida we thought we knew. STILL A HIDDEN TREASURE Despite it being a holiday weekend... More

If you love the outdoors, camping, hiking, just being in nature in general - this is a great park. There is a beautiful water fall, great nature/hiking trails. There is a pond/lake area to swim in - which we have never utilized. A great camping area with very nice facilities compared to other camping areas we have stayed at. This... More

The park is only 30 minutes from Florida Caverns state park and worth taking the time to see. The park showcases a water fall that cascades into a cavern that flows directly underground. There are some other short trails that also allow for viewing of sinkholes common in Florida. Picnic tables and recreation area also available. A wonderful day trip... More
