This wetlands area is short drive from Titusville (15 miles from the nearest I-95 exit). From the parking lot one walks on a crushed shell/sand road for views of the wetlands. Many of the ponds are quite large, so birds may be rather distant. Compared to other Florida wetlands, e.g., Wakodahatchee or Green Cay, this is a disappointing environment for... More

What a wonderful experience to spend the day or a couple hours at this beautiful wetlands park enjoying a wide range of animals including many bird species and alligators and even bobcats and others. They give 50 minute park tours in large golf carts and are very knowledgable about the animals in the park. You can walk by foot or... More

This wetlands area is not available by vehicle beyond its parking lot. Tram rides are given on Fridays and Saturdays from 9- 3 p.m. We've visited numerous wetland areas in Florida but this one by far had the most wildlife available for viewing. Lots of limpkins, black necked stilts, roseate spoonbills, ibises and other birds were visible everywhere we went.... More

Up Close and personal is what you will experience at this number one "FREE" park in Orlando Florida. I never get tired of this place and always allow at least 4 hours to explore. Miles and Miles of berm riding or walking. I like to get to the back of the berm where the large gators hang out on the... More

This place is fantastic if you're a nature lover or photographer. We loved it so much we stopped by ever day we were in Orlando, each time taking a different path through the wetlands. The amount of bird life here is amazing, especially during the morning and late afternoon hours.

My wife and I live about 10 mins away and enjoy while driving by stopping in a few times each month. We take in how quite it is and of course checking what's crawling, flying or just perched. We've seen gators crossing the road a few times but this is no big deal since I've lived in FL since the... More

Fantastic location to learn about many topics: ecological stewardship (final stages of wastewater treatment), wetlands birds, wildlife, and plants. A scenic location to exercise and take photos. Check out the education center and oftentimes there are tours conducted by articulate volunteers. We take our visitors to this park all the time and they love it.

Visited here on a Friday, and they had volunteers who gave you a tram ride around the wetlands, while explaining what you were seeing, the wildlife, the birds, and how it all was constructed. Very interesting, and easy access for all. If you prefer, a volunteer will also walk with you, and act as a guide. The volunteers are only... More

My family and I recently had the chance to visit the Orlando Wetlands park. We had a very good time and it was free!
