Dolphins up close & Personal

As many mentioned you will see Dolphins right by the boat jumping out of the water. It was a good way to spend about an hour or so. Everyone who works there is very friendly but I... read more

Brochure says the Dolphin Cruise takes two hours. We were only out an hour and 5 minutes. That's half the time stated. We saw one dolphin pod and while, most definitely, delightful to see, they disappeared within a minute or two and that was the closest we ever got to them. Absolutely no time for pictures at all. We were... More

I took my family out on the sunset cruise for my granddaughters 2nd birthday. It was incredible. We must have seen 20-30 dolphins playing in the wake of another boat. Little babies jumping out of the water. The kind of scenes you only see pictures of. It was a perfect cruise. I would highly reccommend it. And if you don't... More

Our ride on the Caladesi Island trip was on a rain and cloud filled day. While it wasn't ideal beach weather, the capt. and crew were great about pointing out different sights. We even got the chance to see a couple dolphins feeding. Since we had such crummy weather, the captain was super accomadating -- gave us all free passes... More

Everyone who works there is very friendly but I agree that for the price you pay you should not be expected to tip. The Capt. will talk about tipping when you start... More

We spent $50 even for two passengers and it was well worth it. The boat is a large double decker with a bar inside: free beer, wine, pepsi products and a cash bar and snacks for purchase. The captain and 'mates' are great guys, they will joke with you and answer your questions. Yes, they do a little number about... More

We spent an afternoon on the Dolphin Encounter tour. We did see many dolphins along with seeing some celebrity homes. The pros: lots of dolphins, free soda & beer, two-level boat so a pretty smooth ride. There was an inside, too, with a bathroom if needed. The captain did stop by to answer any questions and engage in small talk.... More

We wanted to do this the first time we were there and didn't have time but I am glad we made the time this trip. There were only about a dozen of us on the trip, likely due to the recent cold weather snap over the holidays. The crew were very helpful, courteous and funny! We saw several dolphins and... More

The web page description says "This unique site seeing tour takes you out into the Gulf of Mexico to give you a firsthand view of the beautiful beaches and shoreline along Clearwater and Caladesi Island." Well, once we entered the Gulf of Mexico we sailed north about 3/4 of the way along Clearwater beach and turned back south. Caladesi Island... More
