Pretty place

Nice park and museum to meander around in. Shell mounds and lots of history. Very nice way to learn about Old Florida. Not touristy.

Visited while out and about hiking on vacation. We were happy the dogs are welcome to walk around (on leash,) but this place seems like it needs revamped. Pretty day, interesting to look at, but much more could be done. You really don't need more than 30 minutes to spend here.

Not a lot to see but it was a beautiful day to walk around outside. We enjoyed the river view from the raised temple. We even saw the nose of a manatee and watched it swim across the river.

This is a very calm and relaxing place. Not to mention that it is an important piece of history; I enjoy spending time here. It seems to be a hot spot for people out for a stroll.

My family and I like to learn about local history where ever we go. This place was a surprise we accidentally found while waiting on a tour to swim with manatees later in the day. It was a pleasant surprise. The history was very interesting and the views were pretty. It didn't take long to get through and I got... More

There were several glass cabinets with interesting artifacts and descriptions as to where they were found, how old they were, etc. There was also a nice video screening with lots of architectural information. Very enjoyable.

This park is nice for a shady walk and a picnic with a great view. We loved the view at the top of the burial mound. It had shade, breezy, and a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding area. As we walked closed to the edge of the park near the water, we saw a huge manatee (that... More

I visited this amazing place, with friends, a couple of times while in Crystal River. This is an amazing place to see the trade history of this area which occurred over a wide period of time. The museum is pretty cool and there's a small gift shop with affordable things to take home. The staff are extremely knowledgeable about the... More
