Out past the clear waters of Three sister springs and outlets of Crystal River is where you will find this secluded beach. Though it's not you typical white sand beaches on the west side of Florida or the surf pounding beaches of our eastern shores. Fort island gulf beach has a silty sand beach which can be a little slimy... More

We went to see the beach area and we're definitely underwhelmed. Stark beach looked uninviting. I understand Hurricane Hérmine took its toll though.

I was going to ride my bike there this morning, but only two other cars there and I didn't feel comfortable by myself. Just beautiful!

They used to allow dogs on the beach but they no longer do. There qis a boat launch area and a very nice fishing pier. The last time we... More

Our first christmas day beach experience. It was a beautiful day, made all the more beautiful by this beach. Clean facilities as well.

Nice little beach in Crystal River. A good place to swim and chill. Parts of the boardwalk and the boat launch are closed from hurricane damage.

This is not a top quality beach i.e., Destin or even clearwater. It is not in the city like Miami Beach. In fact there is nothing out here but a small beach and boat ramp (currently closed), but it is a peaceful local beach with adequate facilities and a niice swimming area. Great place to put in a small sailboat,... More
