This is not a top quality beach i.e., Destin or even clearwater. It is not in the city like Miami Beach. In fact there is nothing out here but a small beach and boat ramp (currently closed), but it is a peaceful local beach with adequate facilities and a niice swimming area. Great place to put in a small sailboat,... More

Wonderful, well kept beach. It's netted off, has picnic tables and a nice bathroom. Views from the beach at stunning! There is also a fishing pier. There was a boat ramp, but a recent hurricane caused damage to that. We will be back!

We were really glad we went. It has really really nice white beaches. The water is clear and warm. Great place to visit and take friends and family.

Decent place to watch the sunset. Not really a beach but there is sand that the park has brought for a small swimming area. Most of the area has large rocks but great for a photo op at sunset.

Planning to paddle on the Chassawitza River, we had to take the 8 mile drive, from our hotel to see the sun set on the Gulf of Mexico. We live in the East side of Florida. You can watch the sun set from a lovely pier that extends over the water, or from the beach. This is a small, clean,... More

We stumbled upon the Fort Island Gulf Beach by accident and found it to be so beautiful. When we visited (November) there were very few other people there and we felt as though we mostly had it to ourselves. It feels as though it's mostly isolated from the rest of the area. Further, there is a pier there for fishing... More

We loved this little beach. Small but perfectly formed. Clean and lots of parking. Whole family enjoyed a little evening paddle.

At the very end of Fort Island Trail,-is this gem of a beach. It's a lovely place to go when the need to visit water becomes overwhelming!! Especially beautiful at sunset!!!

It was a beautiful day. It's a relatively small beach, but was good enough for me. The water was warm, the beach was clean. The bathrooms weren't to far. There was enough parking close by. There are a few picnic tables as well. I appreciate that it wasn't crowded. It's great for sunbathing and swimming a little. But not much... More

This is a small beach area but really nice. Good spot to take the kids and grandchildren. Easy access and parking.
