We visited this morning with our two young children and had a nice walk while communing with nature. There's a boardwalk that takes you through mangroves and the river. As the boardwalk is covered with canopy of trees it stays cool and comfortable. We had...More

Visited this past Sunday morning with the family. The boardwalk path was a great length for my 4-year-old to walk herself and she got a kick at seeing the manatees at the mid-point on the river. There was even a play area set aside with...More

Took my grand-children (ages 6 & 8) and it was a perfect get-away for a nature walk, activity room and a picnic lunch! Love this little get-away for the tranquility.

We are always looking for new spots to hike in Ft Lauderdale and this one is great. There is a nature interpretive centre geared towards kids so it is family friendly. It is also wheelchair accessible along the paths. There are signs to help understand...More

Great way to kill some time if you like and enjoy the wilderness! The staff was super friendly and we saw lots of cool creatures on our walk. Definitely worth the stop!!

Wooded trails wind around open canal and a kid's guide is available. There is a butterfly garden and learning center. Good for young kids-one trail is shorter than the other. It's a nice off-the-beaten-path spot of Fort Lauderdale. No charge.

Was here not too long ago, and I was very impressed with the facility. It is kind of hard to find, so look out for the sign. Upon entering, they have tons of trails and gardens along with a lookout to the New River. It...More

My wife and I took our nine month old son here. It was enjoyable walking on the boardwalk and taking them in the nature center. He like touching the different types of fur.

I would agree it's a great place to get away drum the noise of that area, but probably not the quiet you are looking for. We did see a manatee though, which was wonderful.
