We have a home in Tarpon Springs where the beaches are limited to two small beaches, Sunset beach and Howard Park. Honeymoon Island is about 12 miles away, an easy bicycle ride or 20 minutes by car. Great beaches. Never seen it crowded and the sand an water are as good as Clearwater. Being a state park there are other... More

You have to pay $8 to get in, but with an annual park pass (we used it at Weeki Watchee as well) there is no charge. Parking was plentiful and a short walk to one of the buildings with a snack shop/gift shop/and bathrooms. The beach itself was very well maintained, and we went once at low tide and got... More

We rode our bikes from the mainland, and enjoyed the music, waves, sunbathers and fishermen along the causeway. The island itself was quiet, with miles of beautiful unoccupied beaches. The nature trail is a must....ospreys and eagles abound, and again, quiet and solitude. Very clean and user-friendly!

Loved the name and wanted to know how or why it is named Honeymoon Island, still not sure but had a very good time watching the waves roll in, walking in the water's edge and relaxing. Will definitely retyurn again and again.

We were walking for hours - just an absolutely brilliant way of experiencing the beauty of this area - well worth making the effort to visit this State Park. There were even some benches on the beach - free of charge - just a nice gesture and appreciated by people who very lucky enough to have one! Would love to... More

The best $8 we have ever spent on vacation. The nature walk is full of Osprey and assorted wildlife, including bald eagles. The beaches are something out of a magazine. Pristine, crystal clear water with white sand as soft as flour and 4 miles of shoreline to walk along. Do not miss sunset. This is a must see off the... More

Honeymoon Island is a great place. The beaches are very nice. You don't often see ocean water such a beautiful shade of blue. There's a pet beach, but I had left my dog back at the hotel. I was tempted to go back the next day, taking my dog with me, but I talked myself out of it because it... More

This park is absolutely stunning. Less crowded than Clearwater, sand is beautiful. Clean bathrooms, great snacks. Beach rentals. You can't want for anymore. This place is a must.

Great Beaches, walking trails and wild birds and animals. Cost to enter is $8.00 for two people and their vehicle slightly more for additional occupants. Only bath house we noticed on the map is at the pet park or nearby.

Thank steven d
