First off, there's plenty of free parking. When I was there, the county changing/restroom facilities were closed for repair, but there were plenty of port-a-potties. Mid week, there were enough people getting sun, strolling the water's edge, swimming even to feel safe and comfortable, but not so many that one struggles to find a place to sit. Walked the water's edge... More

Beautiful beach and sand. Find some peace and quiet away from the public beach is nice at times. Beautiful sunsets. The Park Ranger does patrol so it closes promptly after sunset.

Beautiful sand, excellent for collecting sea shells, nice bathrooms, outdoor shower to clean off sand, free parking, short walk to beach from large parking area, not usually crowded, shelling best at low tide.

We parked at Stump Park State Park. Parking is somewhat limited. Walked the beach to the end of the island about 1.3 miles. Very cool. Walked back on the path and saw a sea turtle. Nice afternoon.

Interesting state park beach. White sands and a beautiful walk to Stump Pass, which has the most beautiful vistas. Accessibility also through the State Park trail. Bring your win food and drink there are no facilities other than wash rooms. Car parking can be limited Jan thru Marc

My favourite place in this area. We enjoyed the nature trail and loved exploring the beach and looking for fossilized shark's teeth. I find it peaceful and not too crowded and very much enjoy the natural feel of the beach.

We happened upon this beach from Manasota Key beach, beautiful in its own right. There is a 1.3 mike nature trail at the park that winds through mangrove, plants and grasses I don't know, with numerous views of osprey and other birds. It stops at the end of the key, and there are sometimes manatees and dolphins near the point.... More

This is a terrific beach, but we enjoy watching the sunsets here. It's remote feel adds a lot to the sunset experience.Take a walk or slip into one of the little pull-offs along Manasota Beach road and enjoy the view.
