Really great drive up to the top...but it's cold at night...enjoyed staying there a few times...stay in the best place you can afford as there are some really not great places..lots of pickers who left their rubbish everywhere...what a shame...

We took a private tour to Jebel Shams via our hotel (Anantara). Breathtaking area. The drive was as beautiful as the destination. Stopped at a few little villages where primary industry is goat herding. We had a Chrystal clear day. Well worth the visit.

Definitely worth a visit. I recommend to go a little bit away from the main touristic point and just have a picnic there.

More or less straight route. Ask locals. There’s a village at he top from where the trek starts. Once you get up there, rest is easy to find. Take water and head cover. A hydration pack is ideal. No food water or restrooms... More
