On the way to Hartland to see the longest covered bridge we stopped to see driving from Saint John about 1 1/2 hours. Picnic areas and porta potty. Alongside the lake besides the community center. Poor signage once in town so I recommend the town...More

Well, it's the World's largest Axe, what more could you want! Good for taking touristy photo's, next to the St John River so good views all around. Nice little local pub across the street if your interested in a local bite to eat.

The tribute to the lumber industry in New Brunswick, Canada is set in a small little local park right off the highway. Worth the stop. Dog friendly..

It's like 8 minutes off the Trans Canada Highway but for some reason so worth it! Just run down for a photo opp or picnic by the water. It's literally just a gigantic axe by the water in the tiniest town.

Neat little pit stop off the Trans Canada. Situated on the waterfront, with lots of walking trails, baseball field and picnic area in same location. Really neat to see. It represents the forest industry found in the region.

So you know what to expect, it's the worlds largest axe. Not much else in the city going on but stop by, take some pics, and show your friends. There was a baseball field right there and a little ice cream place close by. Back...More

There are a lot of odd, seemingly-random sights as you drive through the maritimes, and while a giant axe does not do much more than give you the opportunity for some fun photos, there is a large park system next to this, along with picnic...More
