My girlfriends and I did the afternoon trip up Beach Creek. The guys were entertaining and loaded with great information about the area's history and what we were seeing - dolphins, wild horses on Cumberland Island, etc. Now my hubby and I are going to take the Cumberland Island morning cruise which will take us closer to Cumberland Island and... We took the afternoon "Beech Creek Tour" on a chilly afternoon (blankets provided by the Captain). "Pajama Dave" provided many interesting tidbits (movie sets, hurricane damage, local industries, etc.) as we cruised out of the harbor, heading for Cumberland Island. Wildlife was everywhere: birds, wild horses, dolphins. Dolphins? Lots of them. Traveling in pods. Hanging out with the boat. Feeding... More

This was a really wonderful enjoyable tour, which went from Amelia over to Cumberland Island. The Captain (Dave) was very informative and jovial, and showed us many wonderful sights. The tour is a must if you are interested in wildlife, birds, shrimp, boats, history, wood pulp, horses or bad jokes that will make you laugh despite yourself. It’s a bird... More

We had the best time with Mark and Kurt on the Amelia river cruise! They were very knowledgable, as well as humorous! It was a chilly day in November and the boat provided blankets for those of us who were chilled! Very nice touch! At the end of the cruise, upon our asking, the men suggested places we could go... Nice, easy, and informative. This tour was very informative. There was ample room on the boat, they even provide blankets and yes, there is a restroom on board! I wouldn't do it again but am glad that I went at least once.

While Amelia island is beautiful and relaxing if you're interested in hearing more about the history of it and the surrounding islands these guys do a nice job. My feedback would be slightly too long of a cruise for day time.
