We had some time before heading to the airport for our flight so decided to take the Venice of America Tour. Absolutely fantastic! Not expensive and so much fun to see how the rich and famous live. The narration was great with humour! Would highly recommend.

In order to obtain better photos of St. Augustine we opted to take a boat trip on the SCENIC CRUISE aboard the Victory III. The boat is anchored at the Municipal wharf just 100 yards south of the Bridge Of lions in the heart of the tourist area. We came early enough to find a free parking area almost across the street from the wharf area. After seeing the schedule, we elected to take the earliest tour possible which left about 11AM because that would place the sun to our back a bit and highlight the sights we wanted to see...... after noon.... the sun was overhead or behind the area to be photographed and made taking photos almost impossible. The captain and about 30 passengers selected seats on the bow, inside the main cabin, or like us, on the exposed top deck and off we went. A nice history lesson and discussion was led by the captain on each site as we approached that was informative without being too much like a lecture. We were rewarded with a beautiful partly cloudy day in the mid 80's and the top deck offered many opportunities for nice photos right up to the end when we approached the Lighthouse... the sun was almost dead high and good shots became difficult. The boat had a small store aft where you could buy cold drinks at a realistic price as well. Total trip was about 80-90 minutes and well worth the price.

Great excursion to view the homes on the canals and river; Called Millionaires row, the life styles are certainly that and some.
