Area to see and be seen. Numerous bistros, restaurants art galleries, certainly worth a stroll. Combine it with the water taxi and you have a full afternoon.

Long sandy beach palm trees along the back of the beach giving some shade. You can hire Seats and umbrellas.

Love love love Las Olas Blvd! Great atmosphere and it's even prettier at night. We took the water taxi from stop 8 and enjoyed the trip to Las Olas. The only negativity I can think of is, no public restrooms...not that we could find AND the shirt walk from the water taxi to the street is made of small pebbles.... More

Looking for a stretch of beach with beauty and character, Las Olas (the Waves) us the place. We rented bikes and rode along the beach for miles. Many site and smells and a great way to spend a day!

Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale. I may be biased but this is my favorite beach I have ever been to. So much to do. So clean. And for the most part there is great people.

It's a busy place on weekends but excellent for people watching, beach side drinks and dining, swimming, snorkeling, and just plain tanning. The water is clear and generally not too rough. The ladies of my group like the shopping as well. Be there by 11:30am or after 2:30pm on a weekend if you want parking and a good towel location.

There are entrances every 100 feet or so. The beach is clean with only minimal cigarette butts strewn about. The water is warm, and doesn't come up too high at high tide. Be aware: the chairs and umbrellas set up on the beach are not free. We paid $12 per chair and an extra $20 for an umbrella.

This beach is much quieter than ft. lauderdale beach. Also the prices for the cabanas are cheaper. There are also restrooms (no showers) that are nearby.
