I really enjoy this attraction when my friends and family come into town. This is the best place for a moment of peace and respecting the fire service history. Also, research who made all the fire safety equipment really interesting

Built in 1927 as the Fire House. It was part of the rebuilding after the hurricane.Architect Abreu was hired by the city, he designed the fire house with an entry rotunda, wood beams, crown moldings and inlaid title eyebrow windows. Very knowledgeable tour guide

In April, 2016, we tried to see the museum and it was closed due to the fact that the tour guide had fallen and broken her leg. Call before you make the trip.

We arrived at the old fire hall on the same day that the curator "Pat" had just returned from a stay at the hospital. She was using a walker and the exhibit hadn't been open to the public for some time. She was just there...More

Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum is housed in an old Fire Station on Las Olas. The museum is a nice facility. The staff does a good job explaining the history of advancement of the equipment.
