Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a 10 acre park on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River in Downtown Fort Myers and also a part of the Downtown Historic River District. Our condo is walking distance from here and I am really enjoying it.
This is a very well-maintained park with good quality sidewalks. I saw a lot of people walking and a few people running while I was there. As it is next door to the marina and geographically a part of the yacht basin (there is another marina area near High Pointe condos), I saw people from boats/yachts walking their dogs.
There are covered shelters that can be rented and a building with public toilets. The interior of the toilet building was beat up but clean. There were people hanging out in the shelter but they weren't bothering anybody.
There are piers to walk out on, including one dedicated to a previous mayor. There was a small stone marker near a tree dedicating it to someone. Also, there was a large monument to Page and Buckingham Air Fields that were heavily used for fighter pilot training in World War II. You will also see a large red sculpture near the playground and volleyball areas as well as sculptures near the entrance and fountains.
The views from here are excellent. This is a really pretty park and well worth the visit.

Fort Myers has some problems with homeless people. This is one of the locations where there are lots of homeless hanging out. I believe that they feed the homeless still here certain days. Fort Myers has great protentional. I would like to see the city really concentrate on helping to house all the homeless- If they are not employable create a work program where the city provides the homeless with jobs as grounds maintenance workers throughout the city. (Where they get housing as part of the payment plan)
I go to this park often. Sometimes on Saturday night they have a drummers circle which is really cool. The park is worth a stroll- This park has potential for greatness

Centennial Park may be simble, but it's beautiful. We spent an hour there looking at the memorials to Civil War and other veterans and statues of Edison, Ford, and Firestone. The view of the Caloosahatchee River is breathtaking and although it's downtown, the area is still quiet. The riverfront is a manatee zone so there are no fast boats to make a lot of noise. Parking is somewhat limited, but still convenient. I loved the piers.

I got out of the car, and with little notice my son was mad he got right back in the car seat, because there was a nice sized convention of the homeless community in the park. Parking is under a bridge and thankfully there was only one used condom on the ground right in front of the park. Good Times

Located on the Caloosahatchee River and connected to downtown Ft. Myers, This nice little park is a great place to relax. Walking paths wind you thru various memorials, sculptures and many other sites. Perfect place to catch a sunset or catch some fish rom the dock. Overall park is kept clean has decent bathroom facilities. Feel free to bring a furry friend on a leash. This park also holds many weekend events. My favorite is the drum circle on Sunday evenings. Typically plenty of parking is available.

This is a great park along the river with free parking and clean restrooms. Take the time to stop and see the fountain of Edison and his friends. There are many great restaurants nearby including Fords Garage and Capones. There is a kids playground and a boat ramp.

If you like to be on the water, this is a place to relax or just take a walk along the river. Nicely kept, open and clean so taking the grand kids is not an issue especially with the play ground. The Thursday Farmers Market with a few food trucks is a treat.

We enjoyed stopping here. There is a nice sidewalk along the river, clean restrooms, lots of shade. Sorry, my pics of main park did not turn out. I am posting pics of statues and note the river and bridges in the background.

The park is beautiful and on the water. It is spread out so events here are very nice. I rated it Average because of the lack of use of it. It would be great for TGIF music and parties on Fridays after work, or on holidays to get some entertainment on the grounds. It's not used to its potential benefits. Even some beach music or acoustic bands would draw residents to enjoy the park more often.

Should you not get a favorable answer, why not consider the beach @ Ft Myers Beach?

We went to an event. ( Taste of Lee) But did find parking "free" on this Saturday had to walk 4 or 5 blocks Also there are some very cool shops and places to eat /drink here. I was surprised many people had their dogs here (on a lease) I wish I had known this before hand.
