We rented a canoe on a coldish, non-beach day and at the very end of the trail there were several manatees that were surfacing and intrigued by our boat. It was really fun to sit and watch these giant beauties swim around us. Totally worth the paddling and time!

We are staying just across from the park so we walk here on the beach 3 miles every day. It's great seeing all the fishermen including the winged ones. We found a great Seashell Tree folks have been contributing to. We also like combing the beach for treasures when the tide is out. And watching the water when the tide... More

We visited specifically visited to go kayaking and were not disappointed. We were advised on where to go fishing and where to find the best bait. Besides catching a few fish we had a little alligator follow our tandem kayak for a good spell. It spooked when we first showed up in its space but then came around and appeared... More

A beautiful site with walking trails and a beautiful beach. Worth the trip and the admission to the park. There are places that you can park and kayak or paddle board on the bay side with no money involved.

What a wonderful state park and beach that has everything you want in an ocean getaway...minus the crowds. Inexpensive entrance fee per car, with ample parking and well-maintained restroom and changing room facilities. There's a small, but well-stocked gift/rental shop with basic refreshments available for a nominal price. Please don't tell anyone else about this beautiful beach!

Great sunset photos. Few hundred yard walk thru the sand to the gulf at mid beach. White sand provides the young ones lots to to also. Including loosing her gold baby ring in the sand at mid beach on the 1st. Lol

Lover’s key is a well-maintained beach preserve between Fort Myers Beach and Naples. For $8 a car, you can drive into the South Gate parking area, where you rent kayak, canoe, bikes and buy some gift and snacks. You can walk and follow the broad walk directly to the beach or take the tram. The tram will drop you off... More

Beautiful white sand and very wide beach. Not busy at all. Some parking available. Good shelling, go just after dawn.

We rented a canoe for a half day excursion in the estuary. The lady at the canoe rental place (at the gift shop and shuttle stop area) was very knowledgeable about when and where to see the manatees. We saw several manatees, but we did have to work for it. Also so a large collection of different birds as well... More

Maybe because it's a state park, things were relatively inexpensive. We bought great floaties and sand toys at the shop, took the ride to the beach, and then rented some chairs and an umbrella. Really great day!
