This park sits on the north side of the Ft. Pierce Inlet. There is a jetty that extends out into the ocean that attracts fishermen. There are picnic tables but no camping.

This is a favorite place to relax with an evening walk, or for putting a line in the water. There are some good fish to be caught, and the view of the ocean is the best.

We came here to get a sense of the area as we are thinking about buying investment properties. I wish I brought my snorkel equipment.

Truth is, Fort Pierce has lots of good beaches. There's just something about this one that's special. We liked this place so much it influenced our decision on where in Florida to live. A beautiful beach, unspoiled by tall condos and hotels that blight the beach further north. Lots of wildlife -- Lots or turtles, the occasional manatees, birds diving... More

Recently visited Ft. Pierce Inlet State Park with my dog. Did not get the opportunity to see the beach area or trails as dogs are restricted to the picnic areas only. The park was busy with surfers going to the beach. I sat alongside the inlet and watched the boats and folks fishing. Drove around the park and there are... More

Growing up here, snorkeling has been part of my life and this beach (known to locals as "pay beach") has been the place in Ft. Pierce to go for great snorkeling along the rocks. The water on calm days is clear, the fish ate abundant. I even saw a manatee (juvenile with mother) in August. Ample parking, large restrooms. Only... More

One of the great views is from the beaches as they overlook the water of the inlet. You have all the water activities, fishing, swimming, boating. Plus there is wildlife and birds; trails to walk, sit, picnic tables, beach, facilities, showers, bathroom, parking, and restaurants in the area. Entrance $6.

We stopped here for a picnic lunch after visiting the Navy Seal Museum down the street. The entrance fee is $6, which we thought was a little steep. The park was clean and not crowded for a weekday. There were plenty of picnic tables, some covered. The kids enjoyed the small playground. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Nothing... More

We have been going here for years when visiting relatives in Ft. Pierce. Beautiful beaches! Showers and bathroom facilities always clean. Plenty of picnic areas & pavilions.
