A very approachable museum, good for families, good variety of content. The Butterfly Pavillion is beautifully done, a landscape delight, close up and personal with butterflies. Great experience. Can't wait to take my granddaughter.

Over the years, we have spent a lot of time in Florida and feel well acquainted with the State but here at the museum we learned so much more. Well presented.

Take the kids (or Grand kids in our case) it is very educational, interesting and fun. Gives a much better story of FL than road side tourist traps.

This museum may not be the largest in overall area, but the excellent quality and educational content of the exhibits makes up for the smaller size. My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

It is a magical place for the whole family. There is a whole section dedicated to the Ice Age with Mammoth and dinosaur... More

A little known secret destination in central Florida, this museum is rated one of the best natural history museums in the USA and it didn't disappoint. It covers millions of years of Florida history -- geology, plants, humans and animals -- in an entertaining and educational way. Huge man-sized shark jaws, mastodons, 8 ft. long bear dogs, dioramas of Fl... More
