Went with my cousin and sibling family~~ it was a nice short trail with march on both sides and large alligators, buffalo etc. Trails are nicely maintained with a "lookout" point at the end of the trail~~get day get away~~

If we did not have a guided tour, I would have been terrified. Our group saw thousands of gators lined up at River sunning themselves. You may or may not see gators. The gators slow down to a turtle's pace in Dec.January. At the end of the river, there is a sink hole that looks like a crack in the... More

Paynes Prairie is some of the best hiking in the area. Great views, the opportunity to connect with nature, and the chance to see any number of animals in the wild. A great way to spend the afternoon.

Paynes Prairie State Park, is a great location to go for a hike and enjoy nature. The park has a few great locations. One of the most popular spots is the La Chua trail at the north end of the park. Via boardwalks and elevated hiking trail you can walk to an observation tower. Along the way you will encounter... More

Wild horses, bison, birds of all varieties and more gators than you care to count. Probably too cheap making a popular spot.

What a wonderful place to see nature's beauty at it's best. We went to see a couple of alligators in a natural setting and we were not disappointed. We saw probably 60 - 80 alligators over 5-6 feet and there are multiple big monsters out there. It's a beautiful 3 mile hike if you go all the way out and... More

Took a break from Black Friday and took a small 3+ mile hike this Friday afternoon. It was very peaceful and beautiful. Saw a couple of deters by the Lake. Bugs were not bad at 2:30 but as the sun went down, they got worst. So take bug spray for late afternoons! Some trees were changing colors and sunset on... More

This outdoor activity offers a great up close look at one of Florida's more unusual sights. It is rather close to natures as it is not unusual to see wild horses, alligators, and many other wild animals and birds. This area has recently been developed for people to visit and has a observation tower for an overview of the area.... More
