First time here was today 12/17/16 and looking forward already to my next visit. Such a clean, well kept, beautiful facility for animals who wouldn't have a home. The tour guide was so well informed about all the animals and the owner was right there with her giving the big cats treats. The tour takes about two hours and you... More

We requested our tour on Black Friday so we were pleasantly surprised they were able to accommodate. The experience was "cool" as my teenagers kept saying. The animals were very well taken care of. The back stories were interesting kept my kids engaged. Loved getting up close and personal with so many majestic wild animals. The tour is approximately 2... More

We were fortunate enough to visit the tour this past Friday and be guided by Shelby. She and the male staff member who fed the animals (forgot to get his name) were amazingly knowledgeable about the animals in particular and the species in general. At each area we stopped at we were able to ask questions, take pictures and learn... More

A spacious place for these beautiful animals. Having gone on a cool fall day, they were up a moving about. The animals were obviously well cared for. It is so sad that this is something my grandchildren may never be able to enjoy because of the endangerment of the species. An awe filled afternoon.

I don't have the words to convey how much we truly enjoyed our visit to this sanctuary. I loved seeing how all the animals are so healthy and well cared for. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable (kudos Emily and Alex). The grounds are so clean and well kept. Thank you Barry and Christine for giving a second chance... More

It is hard to describe this place, because it certainly is not a zoo, but it is full of exotic animals, such as lion, tigers, giraffes (well, one giraffe), hyenas, and other beasts you don't often see running around Florida. These are not running around, understand, but kept in very large enclosures, better than many such "rescue" operations. An interesting... More

One of the animal rescue farms in the area just outside of Gainesville. They do a great job with maintaining a variety of animals. We were there for their annual open house but felt a bit crowded by too many people. We would recommend returning when you can tour privately. Great otherwise.

1. This is my second visit to Carson Springs; my first visit was in March 2014. Nothing significant has changed since my first visit – it is still a great attraction – but I feel compelled to write a second review since I have become more skilled at writing reviews and would like to give potential visitors the benefit of... Have visited this sanctuary on a number of occasions and love it. You will get very close encounters with all their animals. Most animals have spacious enclosures that are very well maintained. The people working at the sanctuary have an intimate knowledge of most of the animals at the sanctuary and will share this information with you. Although they have... More

GO HERE!!! As someone who has been to several different wildlife conservatories, as well as tons of zoos, I can definitely say this was better than them all! One of the best parts is how close you're able to get to the cages of the animals, simply because you have a zoologist with your small group to make sure you... More
