We camped at Pine Grove campground. Very nice with full hookups. No shade as this is newer campground. Park has hiking, biking(including off road trails), kayaking, boating, fishing, observation tower, and visitor center. Close to nearby Hobe Sound and Jupiter.

It is hard to give the whole park a bad rating because of one problem so that is why I gave it three stars. Love the park and atmosphere. However the boat rental situation is something that they are just asking for trouble. First off they don't take reservations for the power boats. They only have five and its first... More

The best thing about this park is that the Loxahatchee River that runs through the park. And you can rent a canoe or kayak to spend a couple hours or more on the river. Usually there are lots of water birds, sometimes a turtle or more, and always there's an alligator. They also have lots of bike trails from moderate... More

Be prepared to canoe for a distance before you get to the remote area where you can see wildlife. This is our 3rd trip and my husband and I love the remote areas in this park. We saw the largest turtle that we have ever seen and a few alligators. It is a hike and our only complaint is how... More

This is another Florida state park with two sides. We stayed on the left side which is a short drive from the office. The other side is at least five miles further inland and is on a river. Sites were flat, very large and with lots of washroom facilities. We did laundry one day. One of the washrooms had an... More

This park has lots to do. Campground, cabins for rent, observation tower, horseback riding with horse rentals, canoe rentals, kayak rentals, nature trails, longer hiking trails, paved bicycle trails, unpaved mountain bike trails, interpretive center, ranger programs, swimming area in river. Horseback riding prices are the most reasonable I've seen anywhere in Florida. We rented canoes and really enjoyed our... More

We just completed two weeks of camping in a motorhome at Jonathan Dickinson State Park, and this has become our favorite stop. Miles of bike trails for cruisers or off-road. Very good fishing from the boat launch area, with canoe, kayak, and small motorboat rentals. Quiet and peaceful. The park rangers and the camp hosts were very nice and helpful.... More

The Pine Grove Campground is extremely well maintained. It's a very large campground, mostly geared to RV campers. The bathrooms were immaculate; I wondered if they clean them twice a day. There is a playground for the kids that looked well-kept, and there was no trash anywhere. The other campers were friendly and quiet. We're tent campers, and were dismayed... More

It has been MANY years since I rode a horse in JDPark. I took my 13 year old niece with me this afternoon and we so enjoyed ourselves. The last ride of the day as the sun was beginning to get lower in the sky was perfect. I will be back again.

Thank Julie H
