This attraction has been around for so many decades and has gone through private ownership till the State took it over back in the 90's. It was always wonderful but has only gotten better. We have in past years (we have visited it over the past 32 years) purchased their annual passes so we could drop in when the mood... More

13$ a person, and well worth more. Get there early, before the heat and animals hide. Live in Florida, but learned so much. The Manatees are here, along with lots of birds. Great place, thanks State of Florida.

Park was very enjoyable from beginning to end. The guides were very entertaining and knowledgeable. We had a frog on our boat ride in that did not please the child whose stroller top he visited but everybody else liked. Finding some of the animals in their habitats was a where's Waldo. But with help from other visitors we saw them... More

We visited the Crystal Lake area and wanted to find something to do, when we saw the listing for Homosassa we figured we'd give it a try. SO glad we did. You start off on a 15 minute boat ride down a creek with wildlife and a tour guide. When you get to the park you pay. It seemed a... More

Very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed the pontoon boat ride. Got to see a lot of wild animals on the boat ride: birds, alligators and turtles. The park has a trail the has many Florida native animals. The only negative thing there were yellow flies. We were bitten several times, so if you go wear long pants.

A great very clean and well maintained park. Beautiful walkways with many under tree canopys. I enjoyed the relaxed feeling and well carefored animals. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Many benches to sit and restrooms around. Very pleasd with the complete experience.

When you first arrive, you are shuttled onto a pontoon boat and taken down the river where you might see alligators, turtles, and different birds. After arriving at the site and buying tickets you can walk the boardwalk at your own pace. There are a few areas where a staff member gives a presentation - the hippo and manatee exhibits.... More

Had a very nice visit. Starts with a 15 minute free pontoon boat ride through a tight river of nature to the park, viewing alligators and Ospreys. The admission price is very reasonable and discounted for disabled vets. The cat walkway through the park allows you to see all types of Florida animals, from gators, to bears, to panther and... We drive over here from Orlando, which is around a 2 hour trip. The regular Manatee tours had al gone and the weather was not good enough to go out by ourselves for a kayak tour. Therefore, we decided to go here. What a good choice! In the park you get an excellent view of the 3 manatees that live... More

Travelled 130 miles to this park primarily to see manatees in their natural environment, not a chance! The underwater observatory was closed for cleaning of the glass, signage indicated that an Information programme including Seeing the manatees swimming in the crystal waters was held nearby, we waited for 30 minutes at the advertised location but left after nothing happend! The visit... More
