A nice Showcase of Florida's Wildlife

Went here to see the manatee's and wasn't disappointed. Nice boat ride in and pleasant day. Nice leisurely stroll around the park with plenty of local animals.

LOVED spending our afternoon here! My sister and I were in town to swim with manatees and weren't sure what to do with our Sunday. Luckily, my sister picked up some pamphlets and we found a coupon for this park. The park was maybe a 10-15 minute drive from our hotel (the Holiday Inn Express on NW 5th, there is... More

Took the boat ride to the park which was very interesting. The tour around the park is very cool seeing all the animals which are not normally in a zoo atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Would recommend to anyone.

Ellie Schiller's Homosassa Wildlife Preserve is awesome. I try and go every time I'm in the Homosassa area. Love Lu the Hippo. Manatees in winter as well. Beautiful place.

This park had examples of FL wildlife all in 1 location as well as the Lou, the hippo who is a legal FL resident. Walkways are accessible and an easy walk. So much to see, plan on spending several hours.

This trip was a delight for the entire group. We took our friend, our son, and grandson . We all enjoyed it very much. My grandson is 2 years old. He loved it all except the underground tank. That frightened him a bit; but it was getting his nap time so that could have been part of the problem. The... More

We arrived late, just in time for the last ferry to the park. Wish we had arrived earlier and could have spent more time. Beautiful park and wildlife center.

A beautiful water/woods setting with very walkable trails and excellent visibility of the wildlife for kids, adults and wheelchairs. Up close You will see Manatees, gators, birds, mammals and reptiles. You can get in and out in 3 hours. If you have a quarter you can buy bird feed in the netted bird sanctuary, but they seemed to be fairly... More

Just came back from Florida and enjoyed this state park. Many great animals and photos taken. They have an underwater viewing station where the water is so clear you can see hundreds of fish. About 3 hours to stroll the park. If you take the boat to park (a must) you can see alligators, turtles, birds and ducks along the... More
