The kids took their grandparents on a walk here over thanksgiving break. They had the best time looking at the wildlife. Birds, snakes (little green one) and raccoons. The morning they saw raccoons it was 9:45ish and had rained all night. Fog was lifting when...More

This is my favorite nature preserve in the area. Lovely boardwalk, easy crushed shell pathways. Each trail takes you to a different expanse of marsh and the views are lovely. We see ample numbers of wetland birds every time we take this hike. If you're...More

We took our family for the hike...it was really short, flat and We didn’t see anything beside flora and fauna and a really cool bug. It was a great way to get some fresh air, the paths were flooded in a bunch of places...

Very nice scenery and natural beauty. Good place for a peaceful walk. Not a bird watcher but saw many species of birds during our walk.

My three kids and I went to Cradle Creek Preserve on a Sunday morning. It was a nice place for a short endeavor before heading to the beach. We walked along the walkway and enjoyed the quiet and serene setting.

Its a nice place to stop, take a short walk and snap some pictures. We were not prepared for the tons of horseflies but it was still a nice hidden gem.

Cradle Creak park is quiet and beautiful. It leads you to the Intracoastal waterway located in Jacksonville Beach. There are two short trails that lead you to the waters edge where you can enjoy the Florida fauna, possibly view heron, egrets and a possible eagle...More

This little boardwalk into the salt marsh is usually quiet. There are about a dozen parking places, and usually no many people. It is very natural. Even if you don't see raccoons, you will see tracks in the mud at low tide.
