We had such a great day renting a Cobia, 6 of us. It was especially great due to our captain, Trent. He was so friendly, accomodating and very helpful but most important, he was an excellent and experienced boater. Yesterday was a holiday and perfect weather so it was packed with boaters going every direction and he navigated the boat perfectly so we all felt very safe in his capable hands.

After shopping around the various boat clubs in the area we decided to join Jupiter Inlet Boat Club. Do the math; easier said than done when talking with other boat clubs, these folks are completely transparent about how things work, what it costs and what to expect. We signed up on a Wednesday and were on a boat on Saturday. Oh, you want to boat two weekends in a row? No problem! Not only do they have a great business model that puts customers first, they also have a thoughtful and innovative reservation model that makes it so that you can actually get a boat on the weekend. And did I mention that this is a locally owned business? June has worked there for 20 years. The next time Freedom boat club calls you, texts you, emails you, calls you again, etc. be sure to ask that person how long they've worked there. Jupiter Inlet Boat Rentals is not a turn and burn operation, they are our neighbors and an important part of our economy. Pro Tip: don't lie about your boating experience. Spend the extra $ and take a lesson. It's totally worth your time and money. Jupiter Inlet is not the easiest place to learn to drive a boat - there is a ton of traffic on the weekends in addition to strong currents and multiple intersections with the Lox river and the intercoastal. Pro Tip #2: bring an extra $20 so you can tip the deck hands. I live in WPB, have considered purchasing a boat and may do that in the next year or two but for now this is a great solution for me and my family. We purchased a Conventional membership - do the math for yourself and your situation to see what will work best for you. For 1 trip per month this is a great option.

i get that it’s a holiday weekend but i was also told on the phone i could cancel if something changed.. i call today because my parents (step dad has cancer), changed their mind about being out in the sun like that. the lady proceeded to tell me she’s going to charge me anyways (oh also, they never told me how much the deposit was, had to call back today to get the info.. it’s $600) $490.. mind you i was backed a half day only for $329. she told me to have respect for the small business & hung up on me. super rude.

Response from JupiterInletBoatRent, Owner at Jupiter Inlet Boat Rentals
Responded 9 Jul 2020
The statements made in this review are completely untrue. As the person who handled Haley's reservation (and also the business owner), I would like to make it very clear that Haley was NOT CHARGED a single cent by our company. Nothing. Zero. Not a penny. Furthermore, we have always had a "no cancellations unless its bad weather" policy that every single person who books a boat is informed of at the time of booking, and that I personally informed her of at the time she made the reservation. This policy has remained unchanged for over a decade. Additionally, our policy states that if someone does not show up for a reservation or cancels last minute and we are not able to re-book the boat, we charge the person for the rental and issue them with a gift certificate for that amount (that never expires) to be used towards a future rental at any date. We do not take anyone's money for not doing anything, nor have we ever. Haley was informed of our booking and cancellation policy when she reserved the boat for a very busy 4th of July weekend. Despite this, and in consideration of her family's health circumstances, we agreed to not charge her anything and to completely cancel her reservation when she asked us to do so that day. We tried to be accommodating and understanding in every way possible, and therefore I find this review to be completely unjustified, as well as factually inaccurate.

Boats have always been available and very well clean. We've never had a mechanical issue. Plus they clean take care of it.

The Team at Jupiter Inlet Boat Rentals we very helpful! They were fast with the check in and check out process. The boat was in good condition. One comment would be to not just wash boat when a customer picks it up as it makes a mess when we board and head out. Overall good experience. Casey at ConsumerMarinesupply
