Molasses Reef is one of the most popular dives around Key Largo, there are several groups each day. You can book a trip right from your hotel lobby. The Reef is protected and you get instructions on what to due and not due. You get to see lots of beautiful coral and fish.

The fish populations at this reef were outstandingly large! Not a massive amount of coral or large sponges but sea fans were everywhere! You'll definitely see elkhorn coral here which, unfortunately, is getting rarer. Several nurse and reef sharks hang out around here along with some decent size southern stingray. Very few lionfish here because it is so frequently visited... More

Visibility was poor the day we dove Molasses, but the experience was still fun. We had a great guide with Corey from Amoray Dive Resort.

Have dived Molasses Reef a few times and really enjoy the fish and coral in the area. One of the rare places in the US where you can see such beauty!

Visited the reef by way of glass bottom boat. I was a little disappointed not to see more colorful fish, but the corals were very impressive. From our path, we were not able to see any ship wreckage.

Great snorkeling area with beautiful corals and tropical fishes, baracudas etc. I ran into a 8' very friendly nurse shark. Other people in our snorkeling boat spotted a ray.

I've been to Molasses Reef 5 years in a row through Sea Dweller's Dive shop (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and never tire of the variety of sea life. A nice shallow dive that won't disappoint!
